In a unexpected partnership that defies usual expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.

The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Content

Players who finish the mission will acquire an special katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
