I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
